Dieting stinks.

My baby is one year and 19 days old. Sad on so many levels. First, this year went so fast--I wish it could have lasted a little (or a lot) longer! Secondly, it means that I have had a whole year and 19 days to lose the baby weight...and well,...not only have I not lost it, but I started going, quite decidedly, in the other direction. Yay. Me.
About 10 days ago, I finally decided to hop on the scale. (The mountains of clothes in the closet that didn't fit weren't proof enough, I guess.)
So, I'm "dieting"--which in my world means that I've stopped stuffing my face with junk every second of the day.
The only reason I'm writing all of this is because I decided to take a "free" day today...the crowning EVENT being the most delicious sheet cake ever.
It's even better than it looks. I made a deal with myself (and Alicia) that I would not leave any trace of this in my house after tonight. Tomorrow morning this has to be gone, or we all know what I'm having for breakfast. Anyway, now I'm faced with a giant (sheet cake) sized dilemma .  My boys all got Jason's "one small piece of cake and I'm good" stupid genes, so either I eat all of this myself (tempting), throw it away (so, so sad), or give it away (the right thing, but so. much. work.)....hmmm, what to do, what to do?....
As I said before....dieting stinks.

P.S. A big "sorry" to Katie on my lack of humor lately. I'm too hungry to be funny. I'll get back on my game when I fall off the wagon--I'm guessing around Wednesday, stay tuned!

P.P.S I absolutely did not write all of this to get a bunch of "you look great, what are you worried about" comments! I know you are (mostly) women and you feel compelled to hand out false compliments, but try to refrain. Take your fingers off the keyboard. Thank you.

I'd join the stuff my face wagon with you if I lived there. I'd take some off your hands even though I ate like 4 homemade donuts for dinner. Sick! In my defense, I got food poisoning or something over the weekend so I haven't eaten in days and I'm compensating! LOL

I wish we lived closer so I could hop on the diet train with you. Unfortunately I'm a picky eater so all I like is junk food....

PS I want that cake haha

I'm right there with you-I swore it would all be off by 6 months and look here we are at 1 years old. Still have 8lbs to go. I don't think I could resist the cake-I would eat it and then run 10 miles the next day-not so smart.

Ok, I got my laugh and I reaaallly needed it today. It is only the fifth day since school got out and the popsicles are gone, the rope has been used to tie people up, and the phrase "you aren't my best buddy anymore" is being used. Oh, boy. By the way, I hope you ate the cake. It looked way too good to not be consumed.
