Joseph's Best Birthday Ever.

   Joey has had a pretty good week. We started the celebration of his 9th Birthday on Monday (one day early--cause Mom and Dad had tickets to see U2 on the actual b-day). He chose Chuck-O-Rama for the big birthday dinner (yum.), and then went to Wal-Mart for some birthday shopping. This is how it went down.

Jason: "Okay, each of you boys has $20 to spend. You have to spend half of it on Joey, the other half you can use for yourself."

(Boys cheering...)

Joseph: "How bout $15 on me."

Boys: "NO WAY!"

Joseph: "Fine. $12."

In the end, the boys pooled their money (and Joey chipped in himself) to buy him a new bike! After that, and Mom and Dad's gift to him of guitar lessons...he declared it his Best Birthday Ever! And that was just the beginning!


Tuesday (his actual birthday)---we ditched him for Bono. But I don't think he cared, cause he got Grandma and Grandpa! After a dinner at Sizzler (again, HIS choice.), he got to do some more birthday shopping!


Wednesday--he received his Wolf Badge. Way to go Joe!


Thursday (today)--we topped it all off with a birthday party with a bunch of his buddies. The only part of the week I managed to get pictures of.

Yes, I realize that these pictures are not of the birthday child...but come on, it's a baby in sunglasses. Like I was going to pass these pictures up!

She eventually got the balloons...she has been dragging them all over the house ever since.

Joey requested a Basketball party--thanks to Zurchers, that's what he got.

The basketball party included a 2 on 2 basketball tournament--Joey's team won. :)
