Mixed Emotions

Jesse and Jake (and their favorite cousin Jeremy) just left for a Back East/Church History trip this morning. They are traveling with Grandma and Grandpa--which is code for "They are going to have the time of their lives!" We are super excited for them, but they are going to be gone for 13 days--so we are a little sad too.      :) and :(

This is how Jake feels about the trip.
This is how Jesse feels about the trip.
While we are pretty sure he is actually excited about the trip...he was way grumpy this morning and this is totally a fake smile.

This is how he actually looked all morning. He still hasn't forgiven his parents for the long lecture he received last night, and was determined to let us know that. (yay for teenagers!)

This is how Grandma feels about the trip. (Well at least how she feels about taking the boys with her!)

She was giddy! (She is also the only one of the gang that is a morning person.)

This is how Jason feels about not seeing his boys for a week and a half.
Poor Jake--he can't breathe.

Notice Jesse's arms by his side...I got the same treatment. What a punk.

And finally...let's check in with Drew and see how he feels about his brothers leaving.

Poor kid. In case you are worried that he won't know what to do with himself while they are gone...rest assured that he has some plans.

A few days ago, invitations like these were hand delivered to 7 or 8 of his best buddies. He has planned himself a party (completely on his own).
The invites read: Drew Mitchell is having a "My brothers are out of town, so let's party!" Party! And yes I did mean to write party twice. Wednesday at 5:00pm-10:00pm HA HA HA HA HA HA TEE HEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 I guess he'll be fine.

What a riot. I miss teaching Drew in my class, he is such a sweet boy. I can imagine him cooking up the idea of having a no-older-brothers-around-so-he-can-do-as-he-pleases party.
