Jake turned 12 today! TWELVE?! REALLY?! Jake is an amazing kid! From day one he has been wonderful! He is so thoughtful, kind, smart, helpful, talented, and good! We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE having him in our family! Happy Birthday Jakey!

Jake fit as much as possible into his birthday day:It started bright and early when he had to be to school by 8:00 to prepare for the KWN (Kid Witness News) broadcast. (After missing Mon. & Tues. this week because of the swine flu--he had extra work to catch up on as well!)
After school he ripped open a few cool presents and hurried and got homework done, a quick snack, and then off to football practice!

We tried to make football practice a little more "birthday appropriate" and showed up with doughnuts at the end! His football buddies seemed to appreciate them and everyone joined in singing "Happy Birthday"!
Then it was off to dinner at Texas Roadhouse for some good food and a birthday "Yee Haw"! Jake got to sit on a special birthday saddle for that! (We are SO taking Alicia there for her next birthday!--Just kiddin' Lish--Love ya!)
When we finally made it home--there were yet more presents waiting! (The Birthday Fairy--aka Grandma, had been by!) Plus--several cards to be opened! (BTW--if anyone needs a loan, Jake's your man! He made a haul! Of course--he deserves it! You don't turn 12 everyday!)

I almost cried reading this post because I miss and love your kids soooo much! After we talked to Jake tonight, Jeremy said "Nobody could not like Jake!" Happy Birthday Jake! We love you so much!
p.s. You know what would happen if someone tried to put me on a birthday saddle? Tears...lots of tears. ;)
